The evening of the last working day of this week will be remembered for a wonderful event – residents and visitors of the city were invited to the old village for… a ball. This is the title of the program of the Transcarpathian Folk Choir.
The famous group premiered the program "Ball in the old village" in winter in the regional Philharmonics, and now they decided to hold the concert where it belongs – in the open-air museum. So Transcarpathian Museum of Architecture and Life received both the choir, and the visitors for its holiday – just in front of the tavern. There, on a boardwalk stage they presented a spectacle that took everyone to the atmosphere of the "Dream of Transcarpathia" – a beautiful and happy land of folk art. Best song and dance compositions, sketches, solo performances, all woven into a single show where there are no pauses between performances and high spirit and dynamics prevails…
The program "Ball in the old village", produced by the artistic director of the State Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk lasts less than an hour, and during the show, the audience along with the artists found themselves in another reality. This lovely evening in the old village was a real joy during a downpour… And, thanks to the artists creativity and the courage to perform on a slippery stage and in wet clothes, the audience took this happiness to their homes…
