Audiobooks for children with visual impairments (PHOTOS)
The "Hurtom" portal together with the "Plast" delivered audiobooks to children with visual impairments
This charity was initiated by the "Hurtom" portal (Oleg Yarmolinsky and Oksana Franchuk). It all started when last year it was decided to start with the recording of the audiobook "Sat-ok. The land of salty rocks." Even then, the project was conceived with the aim of releasing books for blind and visually impaired people. The project was launched, when they collected funds through the "Hurtom" site. And in March this year, they released a CD with a circulation of one thousand copies. Known Rivne musician and artist Yurko Zhuravel, Ukrainian conductor and choirmaster Oleksandr Vatsek also contributed to this project.
Some of CDs that came to Uzhgorod, on June 13, were delivered to Mukachevo boarding school for blind and visually impaired children. In this school, children learn from the 1st to the 10th grade, so they need and are happy about such initiatives. In addition to gratitude, the school staff also noted that further development of this project is essential, as they often lack necessary books and textbooks.
The organizers promise that this audiobook is the first step in the large program and the project will be extended.
