The government encourages Transcarpathians to join the army

The head of the Regional State Administration Oleksnadr Ledyda instructed his subordinates - the heads of district state administrations and local executive committees - to intensify efforts to provide comprehensive assistance to district and city military commissariats in measures associated with recruiting contract servicemen to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is stated in the order of the Governor dated July 12, "On the selection of citizens of Ukraine to contract military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine." Also Oleksandr Ledyda ordered his subordinates to carry out through the media "a massive propaganda and advocacy aimed at raising the social prestige of military service, increasing the motivation of military service under the contract."

It is proposed to identify hospitals in the cities and districts of the region for medical examination of candidates for military service under the contract. The Governor recommends the regional police management to issue certificates of good conduct to candidates for contract military service. The Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sport was instructed to assist the officials of the military registration and enlistment offices in advertising and propaganda work among pupils and students on contractual military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
