Since the beginning of the year there have been about fifty cases of car arson in the region, three crimes have been solved and referred to the court – Volodymyr Korban, the Prosecutor of Transcarpathian region said.
Not commenting on the activity of the police in the investigation of intentional arsons, he said: "There was an interdepartmental meeting, the work on operational units continues, several reports of response have been submitted… The problem is that we respond as we can, we have taken coordination measures, we perform supervisory functions, but unfortunately, the prosecutors can not do other people’s job for them and look for witnesses…"
