In Uzhgorod they learned to dip paper (PHOTOS)
As uzhgorod.in reported, recently, in the art and design school "Look studio" there was the exhibition "Cherpany Papir". The works were presented by two girls who graduated from Lviv National Academy of Arts - Yana Andrukhova and Marina Kostretska. Dipped paper is an artistic technique. Basically, it is a hand-made paper, with its own storyline, elements, composition.
The girls learned the technique in Lviv experimental studio "Cherpany Papir". The head of the studio - professional artist Victor Hadzhynov, who came to our city with artists, said that the technique of dipped paper is very simple: "Cellulose dissolved in water (usually milled wood of conifers) is applied on the base, and thus a paper is made, and variations of this are infinite".
The girls exhibited in Uzhgorod more than 20 works made in this technique.
Yesterday, at the master-class, visitors could see the process of creating such a work of art and even try to create something themselves. About a dozen people came, most of which were Transcarpathian artists.
The exhibition of rather unusual, but interesting works will last for about two weeks. Admission is free.
