The jubilee exhibition of the head of the painting section Olena Kondratiuk opened in the "Uzhgorod" gallery. At the exhibition she presented 33 works created over the last 5 years.
The exhibition "Carpathian Dreams" is a kind of extension of the exhibition, which took place a few years ago. Olena Kondratiuk decided to continue what she had started, especially since she was born outside Transcarpathia (in Zaporizhzhya), but always wanted to live in a small and quiet town, where the river flows. Uzhgorod became this town for her.
She likes to paint landscapes and still lifes, but not just to copy, but as People's Artist of Ukraine, Academician Volodymyr Mykyta said, to follow the development in nature, to add her own interesting motives and moments. According to the academician, Olena Kondratiuk as an artist, is both traditional and modern at the same time. Her works have a deep meaning to each viewer individually. Mrs. Olena likes to develop the theme of Transcarpathian symbols.
Artist Pavlo Kovacs said: "The exhibition, on the one hand, is predictable (because I know the author very well), and on the other hand is amazing. We have worked with Olena Kondratiuk together in the open air, and also together joined the school. I thought I knew her painting technique well, but with the today's exhibition she exceeded my expectations."
