Today is the Day of the photographer. The Association of Photographers of Transcarpathia also celebrated this holiday.

Volodymyr Norba, the head of the Association, for example, went to Vynogradiv, where he had talks with colleagues about the plan to arrange a nationwide plein air on the day of Vynogradiv, which will be celebrated on August 27.

He also told about future plans of the Association. "Our most important business now is the organization of the first in Transcarpathia International Salon of Art Photography "Carpathian photo vernissage - 2013."We are focusing our efforts on it. The salon is open for both amateur and professional photographers from around the world. Each participant may submit up to 4 photos for each section (free theme, travel and mountain scenery). Jury from Slovakia, Hungary and Ukraine will evaluate works from 9 to 11 of August," - the head of the Association said.

He also added that they had already received pictures from more than 60 participants of 25 countries.  The official announcement of the results will be on August 25. The exhibition of the 120 best photos is planned for 15 to 22 of September. The awarding of winners will also take place then.

In August they also plan to open another exhibition "Caves of the Carpathian region," and currently in the Transcarpathian museum there is the exhibition "Castles of the Carpathian region" which will last by the end of summer. Volodymyr Norba says that reviews of tourists and visitors of the castle are positive.
