X-ray examinations will be carried out on Sundays after church services.

Tuberculotherapists from all over the region discussed at the conference how to stop the TB and to encourage people to undergo x-ray examination. February 22, the month of TB fighting started.

Among the innovations in preventive work is the involvement of the clergy in educational activities. It is planned that near the churches there will be mobile photoroentgenographs, where parishioners can be examined.

Transcarpathia is one of the most prosperous regions of Ukraine. We have one of the lowest tuberculosis rates.

According to the CEO of the OKTMO "Phthisiology" Vasyl Skryp, last year the coverage of x-ray examination and tuberculin diagnostics in the region has greatly improved. The mortality from tuberculosis has significantly decreased.

Anyone can get a tuberculosis, from a professor or a businessman to a migrant worker or a homeless. However, tubercle bacillus primarily affects people with weakened immune systems, malnourished, living in poor conditions and poor health culture. Three-quarters of patients are from this social stratum of the population. Half of them are migrant workers, young people of 25-45 years.

It should be remembered that a routine biennial x-ray examination would allow to timely detect a dangerous disease and treat it effectively.
