Today, February 11th, at the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod there was the meeting of 35 participants of the "Workshop on European politics" with the management of the consulate, representatives of the regional authorities, community leaders, deputies. The chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Ivan Baloha welcomed the participants who had come from across the country. 

According to the project coordinator, Oleksandr Solontay, the Institute of Political Education annually holds a contest, selecting the most active young people aiming at European integration, who want to change something in Ukraine. This year's competition was particularly high: 35 people for one seat. 

Among them they have chosen the most enterprising businessmen, politicians, civil servants, community leaders, who will leave for a week long study visit to EU countries: Hungary and Slovakia, where they will be meeting with representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the police, NGOs, diaspora, enterprises of housing and communal services, etc.
In Uzhgorod, in addition to the official meeting, there also was the awarding of those "Workshop ... " participants, who last year implemented the most successful public or social projects. In particular, Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine awarded cash bonuses to the organizers of rural fan zone during Euro 2012 and the NGO that caters to children with cerebral palsy.
