Leninsky District Court of Kirovohrad sentenced the deputy of Kompaniyivka District Council Victor Yakimenko to 9 years imprisonment. In the middle of the last year, he committed the traffic accident in which two people were killed, including a 4-year old child. In addition to imprisonment, the court also deprived the deputy of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 3 years, reported Zhytomyr online.
In the evening of August 20, 2011, Kompaniyivka District Council deputy Victor Yakimenko while driving his car in the state of intoxication went into oncoming traffic, where he collided with another car, inside of which there were 4 people.
As a result of the accident, the driver and a four-year-old child died from injuries. Two other passengers were seriously injured. The court hearings over the case lasted eighteen months.
