Over the last year, prosecutors revealed numerous violations in the activities of local government, regulatory and law enforcement agencies that hinder free and effective exercise of business.
They established facts of extortion of permits not required by law from citizens and businesses.For example, by the decision of the Executive Committee of the Vynogradiv City Council, a businessman was granted the permission to open a store. However, there is no legal basis for the issuance of a permit for retail and service facilities.
Similar illegal decisions have been challenged by the prosecutors of Mizhhirya, Perechyn and Svalyava districts. Also they revealed frequent violations of Articles 5, 7 of the Law of Ukraine "On government oversight (control) of economic activity," according to which the planned inspection shall be carried out subject to an appropriate written notice to the entity no later than ten days prior to the inspection. These violations have been revealed by Beregovo interdistrict and Perechyn and Mukachevo district prosecutors during the inspection of territorial SES offices.
In general, prosecuting authorities have issued 59 orders to eliminate these violations, revealed by the results of last year inspection of compliance with the constitutional principles of business, following which 63 people have been brought to disciplinary responsibility, 12 protests have been satisfied.
