The Mayor of Uzhgorod asked doctors and police officers to help protesters

The City Council sent a message about the appeal of Victor Pogorelov to doctors and police officers asking them to promote the peaceful expression of the will of the people.

The Mayor of Uzhgorod "I ask medics and police officers to help those people who these days are expressing their support of European integration"

"Victor Pogorelov asked health workers of the city to work carefully and responsibly during student strikes. "Doctors should always be there when crowded assemblies take place, so that protesters, if necessary, could seek medical attention and receive necessary treatment."

Also, the Mayor of Uzhgorod called the police to guard tents on Teatralna square in order to prevent any provocations so that those who stay on the square at night felt safe. Victor Pogorelov said that last Sunday, the crowded assembly took place without troubles thanks to the police, and again asked the traffic police to ensure order on the roads if the protesters decide to march the city" - the statement reads.
