The building of the out-of-operation sanatorium "Perlyna Karpat" de jure remains "waif". Members of the Regional Council today, December 27, could not take it into the ownership of the region.
Discussing the draft decision "On transfer of ownership of the buildings and structures complex "Sanatorium "Perlyna Karpat" to territorial communities of villages, towns and cities of the region," the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda said that the resort had been closed for several years. If it is not taken on the balance sheet of the regional council, in the near future, the complex will follow the fate of Soviet collective farms.
The Regional Council Chairman Ivan Baloha said that deputies had already adopted the decision to take the resort on the balance sheet, but prosecutors appealed it in court. According to Mr. Baloha, there is no reason to adopt a similar decision again.
As a result, 52 deputies voted for the adoption of the decision – three votes less than necessary for the approval.
As you know, the sanatorium "Perlyna Karpat" near the village of Chynadiyevo in Mukachevo district was closed several years ago after the infamous incident with children poisoning.
