Kyiv. Chronicles of the revolution. Or the front line? (DIRECT SPEECH)
This night, chronicles of the Revolution, which still continues in Ukraine, again sound like news from the front line. Have a look at the events as described by Transcarpathians who are now where the history of our country is being made. Without comments.
Special forces are trying to break into the House of Trade Unions...
People are holding the line tightly...
They continue to destroy the tents... : ((
We have just won Institutska street. I've never been in such situations. The police, however, did not use force. But they poisoned us with gas and pushed with shields. Somehow I appeared in the front row and for about 20 minutes talked to policemen. Everyone, I talked with, and they were as shocked as I was, were quite sensible. One shouted, "what kind of orders are that?", another reassured me: guy, be calm, this will be over and we will live." I swear those were their words. Then, when they saw that they were loosing, they began to retreat and people made way for them. In short, I do not know what else to say. Now, they have brought to our tent two boys with gas poisoning. It is a horrible sight.
There are victims and wounded. Mostly, from the tear gas. Partly, from blows.
Near the fence on the perimeter, the guards of the Maidan (in orange helmets) were attacked by hired civilians who beat our guys with chain, then sprayed gas in their faces. Some were taken by ambulance. Others are in the tents... Some were beaten by policemen.
So do not believe in the noble and peaceful goal of the police - to free roads for Kyiv public utilities...
About the situation on Instytutska. No special forces in Ukraine can crush such crowd of people. I do not know what is the situation on other cordons. Our century is almost on the front line. Kyiv arise. Uzhgorod, Transcarpathia - to Kyiv!!
The bells of St. Michael's Cathedral are ringing! I could not even imagine this. Wow!
International TV channels are broadcasting events in Kyiv!
There is information about the detention of at least 10 protesters.
The police are widely using tear gas.
Police tore down quite a lot of tents in the camp...! Too bad.
Policemen and Internal Troops behave sometimes peacefully, sometimes aggressively.
Kyiv taxi drivers went on strike, and drive people to the Maidan for free! Huge respect and thanks to them!
Many Kyiv residents come out to the streets for support and protection! The number of people is significantly increasing! I am sure we will win!
Europe, it's not even funny. You do not need any more words! Just one... I will tell you... Ukrainians will tell you...
Arrest the accounts of satraps and tyrants of my people already!
