In Velyky Berezny district, they violated the Law "On Protection of Cultural Heritage"
Velyky Berezny District Prosecutor made a submission to Velyky Berezny District State Administration demanding to remedy violations of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Cultural Heritage" and other laws of Ukraine, the causes and conditions that led to them and discipline the guilty officials.
"We conducted the check of observance of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Cultural Heritage" at Velyky Berezny DSA" - the District Prosecutor Ivan Tsar said.
Thus, in the district there are 39 objects belonging to the cultural heritage, including 8 wooden churches, 2 bell towers, 6 monumental art objects, 2 graves with historical and cultural significance, one natural monument of national importance, 6 local reserves, 13 sources, one natural monument of local importance, one park - a monument of landscape architecture of local importance and one geological monument of local importance.
"However, - the prosecutor said - during the audit, it was revealed that officials of the Department of Culture of Velyky Berezny DSA were improperly fulfilling their duties to protect these objects of cultural heritage, provided by the Law of Ukraine" On Protection of Cultural Heritage ", namely, have not developed programs for protection of cultural heritage, have not organized security arrangements for monuments of local importance, inadequately supervised compliance with the law on the protection of cultural heritage by subordinate entities, have not organized proper accounting of cultural heritage objects."
