According to the Hydrometeorology Center, at night on December 6, heavy, sometimes very heavy snow, blizzards are expected in Transcarpathin region. On the roads there will be sleet.
Office of the traffic police in Transcarpathia established a working group to monitor and rapidly respond to the situation during severe weather conditions. About 50 vehicles are on duty, including 9 directly on the passes, which, if necessary, will be used for ensuring road safety.
In turn, the traffic police appeals to drivers to be extremely careful and cautious on the road. Check the technical health of the car, use winter tires and strictly adhere to traffic rules. Choose speed, maneuvers and distance, taking into account the weather conditions.
