In October 2010, Uzhgorod inter-district court granted the application of Kamyanytsya village council to transfer the ownership of the Nevytsky castle to the local community of Kamyanytsa village council, based on the fact that the castle had no owner.
Today, the castle is in disrepair. In the village council, they are thinking on how to save this architectural monument and gathered representatives of all services involved in the salvation of the castle, the Visti Uzhgorodshchyny reported.
Nataliya Myhalyna, member of the District Council, suggested to propose this issue for the consideration at the regional and district sessions. They will establish the Public Association "Nevytsky Castle", two neighboring village council will nominate their activists to this association and they will start raising funds.
Representative of Nevytske village council assured that the deputies will provide for some funds for saving of historical monument in the budget for 2014. Representatives of a German NGO also promised to contribute.
In short, at this without exaggeration historic meeting, it was decided to establish the Public Association "Nevytsky Castle" and start raising money for conservation of the architectural monument.
