Uzhgorod athletes participated in "children's Olympics" (PHOTOS)
Last week in Windsor (Canada), the 47th International Children's Sports Games, called Children's Olympics took place. More than 100 teams from 38 countries participated. The only city which represented Ukraine at the event was Uzhgorod. Our team of boys and girls aged 9 to 15 years participated in competitions in swimming, athletics and tennis.
Although we didn't win any prizes, young athletes always were in the top five or top ten in all sports at these competition, - the city council reported.
In Windsor, our team was welcomed by the delegation of Ukrainian diaspora of more than three hundred people living in Canada, and the mayor of Windsor - Andy Francis and the Executive Secretary in charge of international children's games in Windsor - Volodymyr Metulynsky.
