The land in the protective zone on the Latorica was returned to residents of Mukachevo

The Court of Appeal of Transcarpathian region upheld the decision of the Mukachevo district court to grant the claims of Mukachevo cuty prosecutors and to withdraw the land located in the protective zone on the shore of the Latorica river (in the area of the common green space) from illegal possession.

As we have reported, back in December last year, prosecutors filed with Mukachevo district court the suit to invalidate decisions of Mukachevo City Council sessions to grant two 0.1 ha plots of land in the city of Mukachevo to private property and to return them to he city. "The Prosecutor's Office upheld the claim and the trial proved that the City Council adopted the decisions in violation of the Constitution and the Land Code of Ukraine", - the acting city prosecutor of Mukachevo Ivan Lendyel said. "Thus, the said plots were returned to the community of the city," - he concluded. Source - Press office of the Prosecutors of Transcarpathian region
