Migrant workers from Italy suffered in an accident in Transcarpathia
One person was killed and three were injured as a result of the accident on the 152nd kilometer of the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Suskovo in Slalyava district. This was reported to UNN by the press service of the Office of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.
According to preliminary reports, the driver of the truck, a resident of Irshava district, Transcarpathian region, lost control, drove into the oncoming lane and rolled over into a ditch, resulting in a collision with a minibus driven by a resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region, which was moving in the opposite direction. Then, a commercial vehicle "Iveko", that was following behind, collided with the passenger minibus.
Inside of the first van, in addition to the driver, there were four passengers who were on their way home from Italy.
As a result of the collision, a female passenger of the van, a resident of Cherkasy, died on the spot, three more people received injuries of varying degrees of severity and were taken by an ambulance to Svalyava district hospital. The driver of the minibus "Iveko" also received minor injuries, but refused from hospitalization.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
