It is not too late to apply to university

This year's admission campaign in Transcarpathian region, in comparison with the previous year, is characterized by the increasing number of those wishing to enter higher educational institutions.

In particular, graduates of 9th grades have filed 4441 aplications for full-time study in 14 institutions of I - II accreditation levels and different forms of ownership, which train specialists in 48 specialties, (previous year - 3280 applications). The most popular are the following specialties:

Primary school teacher - 235 applications;
Paramedic - 137 applications;
Lawyer - 101 applications.

According to the Department of Education, Science, Youth and Sport of the Regional State Administration, most applications have been submitted to the College of Natural Sciences and Humanities of Uzhgorod National University - 657, Uzhgorod Trade and Economics College of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (formerly Uzhgorod Commercial College) - 520, and Transcarpathian Basic State Medical College (Khust) - 459 applications.

14,305 applications have been submitted to five institutions of III - IV accreditation levels and different forms of ownership, which train specialists in 60 fields, (including those to UzhNU - 10490).

The most popular professions this year are medicine - 887 applications, jurisprudence - 550 applications, and dentistry - 396 applications. Meanwhile, only in July, 101 applicants complained about actions of admission commissions.

The admission for state-funded studying is over, and the admission for contract form will finish on August 25.
