In Transcarpathia, 550 employers raised salaries for their employees

This is nearly 85% of firms and entrepreneurs (businesses and individuals), 651 taxpayers of the regions. The managers of those businesses spoke at the meetings of the joint working groups. These groups are made up of experts of territorial income and taxes authorities, local administrations and other regulatory services.

Inspectors also found out that 3,256 of the 12,857 taxpayers in the first half of 2013 were paying wages which were less than the statutory minimum amount. The number of such entities has decreased, as compared to January 1st of this year, it was 3,350. As a reminder, the minimum wage today is 1,147 UAH.  

In addition, as of January 1, 2013, economically active businesses had wage arrears to their employees totaling more than 2,913,000 UAH. As a result of the activity of joint committees on payment of wage arrears, those entities have paid their workers 1,814,000 UAH. As a result, the budget received about 400,000 UAH as the tax on personal income.
