Prosecutor: Uzhgorod police deal with "minor things"

The work of the city police investigators has not been adapted to the new Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine. This was stated during the inter-agency meeting of heads of law enforcement agencies by the Uzhgorod Prosecutor Ivan Shtefanyuk, the press service of the city prosecutor's office reported.

The City Prosecutor is convinced that investigations are conducted intermittently, without schedule, mainly activities are aimed to investigation and conclusion of the proceedings on small and moderate crimes. That is why the city police investigators notified 25 persons about suspision of having committed 34 criminal offenses, about grave and especially grave crimes, which is one of the lowest number among cities and districts of the region.
