On the secret scheme of Transcarpathia there is a corridor from Europe to Asia

The head of regional department of urban planning and architecture Mykola Pihulyak said that to journalists on Tuesday, April 9.

One of the main challenges that stood before the Regional Department last year and in the first quarter of 2013 is the approval of the scheme of the region. The examination and completion of the scheme was being conducted over six months. They already have a positive opinion of "Ukrbudekspertyza" on the scheme. Now the document is included to the materials for session of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, which must take place April 11.

– It is a kind of urban "constitution" for the region which will govern its life for decades. It identified five areas for the development of the region. In particular, the development of the international transport corridor and the Europe-Asia corridor, international transport links by means of checkpoints to 4 countries, ecological networks and border areas, – Mykola Pihulyak said.

It’s part of the urban planning reform that provides for urban planning documents in all districts.Now the best in development of district planning scheme are Rakhiv, Uzhgorod and Mizhhirya districts.
