Transcarpathian schoolchildren are leaders by the number of truancies

955 Ukrainian students have not even started to study the curriculum - such are the results of the Ukrainian preventive police raid "Lesson", held in early September. This was reported by the head of the criminal police of Juvenile Affairs of Ukraine Oleksiy Lazarenko.

Thus, according to the source, the largest number of children who do not want to go to school is in the Odessa region - 130. Sumy and Transcarpathian regions shared the second and the third places with 96 and 86 young truants respectively.

"The main purpose of the "Lesson" special operation was to identify children who have not started to study. We also set the task to eliminate the causes that led to this outrage, - said the head of the criminal police of Juvenile Affairs of Ukraine Oleksiy Lazarenko. - Just imagine: 807 adults have been brought to administrative responsibility for dereliction of duty on parenting (Art. 184 of CAO). Police issued 406 official warnings about preventing domestic violence. Prosecution raised 13 criminal cases on some parents for failure of parental responsibilities (Art. 166 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)" - reported the Zakarpattya online.
