Public advocacy of Italy gives a chance to legalize to more foreigners expanding list of documents that can confirm the presence in the country. This was informed by the Ukrainian newspaper – the publication for Ukrainians living in Italy.
Thus, the list of public bodies that can confirm the presence of foreigners in the country until December 31, 2011 has been modified. In particular, certificates issued by private organizations that provide public services are allowed to submit to prove legal residence in Italy. Such certificates, in particular, may be certificates from telephone operators for purchasing of sim cards, public transport tickets (with personal data), plane tickets, certificates from a doctor, STP medical cards, fines, documents from shelters or hospitals, etc. Also the documents issued by consular offices of foreign countries in Italy are valid. These documents have been issued by a public institution located in the country, thus confirming the presence of the citizen in the national territory.
