Slovakia has given its GTS to supply gas to Ukraine from Europe

Slovakia after the intervention of the European Commission agreed to provide its GTS for pumping gas from Europe to Ukraine.
On Monday this reported by the "Kommersant-Ukraine".
"Ukraine will be able to begin reverse gas supply from Slovakia, said the European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger after the meeting with the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko. He said the conditions for that exist, but they need some time to solve technical issues so the deliveries could begin by mid-2014", – said the paper.
As indicated, the need to supply gas from Slovakia has arisen in connection with excessively high cost of Russian gas. Russia sells gas at $ 430 per cubic meter, while in Europe it can be purchased for $ 360-380. That was the price stated in the Framework Agreement between "Naftogaz of Ukraine" and the German RWE, signed in May 2012.
Then the parties agreed to supply 10 billion cubic meters. At the same time, Ukraine plans to import from Russia 27.5 billion cubic meters this year, and 24 billion cubic meters the next year. Additional volumes of cheap gas from Europe can be received also through LNG-terminal being built in Poland. It is expected that it will receive liquefied gas from the Middle East is 2014.
