Ivan Baloga met with the communities of Veryatsya and Novoselytsia villages
On Tuesday, September 11, candidate Ivan Baloga held meetings with communities of Veryatsya and Novoselytsia villages in Vynogradiv district.
First Ivan Baloga thanked the residents of the villages for the trust, because two years ago he was elected to the Regional Council of Vynogradiv. Then candidate presented his program and said why he decided to run to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Ivan Baloga said that he goes to the parliament as a member of the strong Transcarpathian team, which primarily aims to defend the interests of the region. "We have ambitious goals and we strive for the better life of Transcarpathia"- said the candidate. In foreign policy the team will defend the European vector of development.
Then the meeting turned into a debate. Residents of Veryatsya and Novoselytsia are mostly concerned about the state of the roads.
Vasyl Fetko, former chief engineer of the Royal Quarry, now retired, complained that Veryatsya suffers from explosions at the local quarry. Ivan Baloga said that the community has the right to control the work of the business located on its territory.
Many issues are related to the absence of kindergarten in Veryatsya. The village chief Petro Starosta said: in the village, where a thousand people live, there is still no such institution. Currently, part of the children attend kindergarten in the neighboring village, and for the children of five year age there is a preparatory group in the local school. Several years ago, the village began to build kindergarten by their own. Now to complete the work they need not so much - half a million UAH. "At the last session of the Regional Council, with the assistance of Ivan Baloga the money was allocated to the district for this purpose, but because of the failure of the district session the village never received it" - said the village head. Ivan Baloga said that although delayed, the funds will be transferred. Therefore, it is likely that in a few months the new kindergarten will be opened.
In Novoselytsia the community requested help with the completion of the school. The main building was built 49 years ago. Due to the lack of space two forms are studying in kindergarten. Ivan Baloha promised to strongly lobby the issue of the construction of the new building of Novoselytsia school on all levels.
The main problem in Novoselytsia is the shortage of drinking water. The village head Victor Voron says the fifty-year old plumbing network in their mountain village is crumbling. About 200 thousand UAH is needed for its renovation. Already this summer, the village feels the constant interruptions of water supply. Ivan Baloga agreed that this problem is one of the most important for many Transcarpathian villages.
