In Uzhgorod 15 "gaudiest" signs will be dismantled - such decision was voted be the executive committee
At today's meeting, the Executive Committee decided to forcefully dismantle 15 most glaring signs in downtown. These advertising structures do not comply with the Rules for installation of signboards in Uzhgorod and have repeatedly been the cause for criticism of the city government about the non-fulfillment of the approved standards.
So, according to the decision of the executive committee, as reported to uzhgorod.in by sources in City Hall (for the draft decision remains "covered in mystery"), the following undoubtedly bright "decorations" of the city are subject to dismantling: signs of salons "Hello," shop "Golden Age", ABC "Bonjour" diner "Royal Burger" and so on.
However, although the decision envisages dismantling, it will be preceded with prior warning for owners - first they have to provide documents that would have shown the legitimacy of the existence of these structures. The decision of the executive committee reads: "On the notification of signage owners about the necessity of providing permits and dismantling in case of their absence". The term set for owners shall be to the 28th of September. However, it can be assumed, and the sources hint to that, that there are no permits for these signs, because it is clear that they do not meet the Rules and do not fit into the historic center. Therefore, they could not possibly have the approved technical passports.
"Dismantling of signage shall be done by municipal services at the expense of the owners, if they are detected" - reads in the decision, control for the implementation of which is assigned to Deputy Mayor Yury Belyakov.
