"Hryvnia fluctuates because the U.S. and the EU derive the capital from Ukraine" - expert
Devaluation of hryvnia for up to 5 per cent, that is up to 40 kopiykas, should be regarded as currency fluctuations and not collapse. This was stated by economic expert Bohdan Dubas.
"Let's not be emotional. Prognosed fluctuations is a plus for exporter, who sells in foreign currency and receives more in hryvnia"- he said.
In his opinion, the difficult situation for financial system is caused by several reasons. First, continuing isolation of economic country. Due to the political situation with Yuliya Tymoshenko and Yuriy Lutsenko, America and EU derive the capital from Ukraine. Secondly, the loans which were taken by Tymoshenko government and are being taken now by Azarov government must be served. Thirdly, the Ukrainian market in the direction of exports decreases. Therefore decrease flows of currency to Ukraine.
The expert believes that the situation can be rectified by the adequate policy of government and the National Bank.
Foreign currencues must be withdrawn from the economy, only hryvnia must work in Ukraine. Now everyone converts hryvnia deposits in foreign currency, and this is harmful.
