Bicycle, "Schengen" and reflective jacket. These are the necessary attributes for those who want to make a cycling pilgrimage to Mariapocs.

Note: A 100 years ago, a small settlement Mariapocs was the largest pilgrimage place for Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese. Thousands of believers walked hundreds of kilometers to cling to the miraculous icon of the Mother of God, in St. Michael church. 

Now Mariapocs is the smallest Hungarian town (2.5 thousand residents) in a 20-km from Nyíregyháza in Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg region and the largest pilgrimage center in Hungary. Every year Mariapocs Basilian Monastery is visited by half a million Greek Catholics from all over Europe.
