A mortar shell of the Second World War period was found in the center of Uzhgorod (PHOTO)

September 26 at 9:30 the operational and coordination center of the Administartion of MOE in Transcarpathian region received from the police the information that in Uzhgorod on Shvabska street a suspicious object similar to the explosive had been found.
Upon the arrival, the pyrotechnic group of the Emergency and Rescue unit the Administration of MOE in Transcarpathian region determined that the dangerous discovery is an 82 mm mortar mine of the Second World War period.
As it turned out, the explosive object in the center of the city had been found by the workers of Vodokanal during road repairs. Today, the mine will be disposed of at the firing ground in the village of Orikhovytsya in Uzhgorod district - reported the Administration of MOE in Transcarpathian region.
