120 Uzhgorod children can learn to play with a ball in the water

The enrollment started on Sept. 10 in UzhNU sport complex "Burevisnyk". In just half an hour 30 schoolchildren were enrolled.    In the School 10 groups will be working, maximum quantity - 150 children, primarily of 2003-2004 years of birth.

Chairman of the Regional Federation of Aquatics Robert Levitsky says that Transcarpathia has strong tradition in water polo.        

According to Robert Levitsky, the School will be open daily, except Saturday and Sunday. There will be 10 groups of 12 children each. The children are required to have the desire and medical certificate.  Ability to swim is optional. Coaches will teach them. In 5-6 years Transcarpathians will be actively performing at championships, getting victories. "Our veterans give excellent results - says Robert Levitsky. - They won 5th place at the World Championship, silver medals - at the European Championship. We have strong traditions."

Israfil Vasilkin was a well-known coach back in those years when water polo flourished in the region. The specialist came back to Uzhgorod up from Russia, where he had been working the past two years.    

  Coach I.Vasilkin is sure that if at least 65% of the requirements are met in three years young Uzhgorod water polo players will play in the children's championship of Ukraine. And in 5 years, the pupils will be joining children's national teams.
