The 18 million hryvnias project is being implemented in Vynogradiv. Thanks to "green investment" works on facades and roofs insulation and windows replacement are being performed in full swing.

This year Transcarpathia will spend UAH 58 million. It is a part of the amount received by Ukrainian government for the sale of the quotas under the Kyoto Protocol.

This fall all the premises within Vinogradiv District Hospital will be winterized, which will allow to save around one million hryvnias on heating annually. Moreover, the saved million will remain available to medics so they can use it for repair of clinics, rural village health centers.

To realize such a project is not an easy task. In particular, there are difficulties due the very old age of some the hospital facilities built in 1870-90th years. The special commission controls the compliance of the documentation as well as the entire process.

- In total, here we have 12,600 square meters, which we are insulating with mineral wool and other energy saving materials - said the representative of the contractor Semen Tikhanovych. - We have 12 years of experience in performing similar works. In particular, our organization performs works by "Kyoto" funds in Kharkiv, Donetsk and more. If the weather allows, the Vynogradiv project will be delivered later this month.

Within the "Kyoto" funding Transcarpathian region has filed project proposals for 270 million hruvnias.Of the 58 million approved for this year, 18 are used for Vynogradiv hospital, 18 - for Beregovo hospital, the rest - for the schools of Irshava, Mukachevo, Tyachiv, Velyky Berezny and Volovets districts.
