On Thursday, October 4, at Uzhgorod military training ground, command post exercises with the military command and troops "Perspective 2012" were held. The Defence Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Salamatin and head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda observed the exercises.

The exercises took place at the military range near the village of Orikhovytsya. Troops of the 15th separate mountain infantry battalion of the 128th separate mechanized brigade of the 13th Army Corps of the Armed Forces made a 50-kilometer march in military vehicles and started military exercises in a given area. Except mountain infantry, the army aviation (Mi-24) and tactical aircraft (MiG-29) were engaged in the exercises.

Soldier of the intelligence platoon, Yaroslav Myresiy told about the exercises:

- My task was to secure the crossing through the canyon. Overall, the exercises were not very difficult, because such a task we perform constantly. However, we prepared more carefully, because we knew that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine would observe us.

The complex of exercises "Perspective 2012" aims to provide training of the Armed Forces to fulfill operational and combat missions. A number of battalion and company tactical exercises have been conducted at firing ranges of the country - reported the press center of RSA.
