The new Chairman of the Regional Student council has been elected

On Monday, October 22, the IV reporting and election conference of the Student Council of Transcarpathian region was held. In addition to members of the Board of Student council, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Head of the region Ivan Kachur, Head of the Higher Education and Science Sector of the Regional Department of Education and Science Vasyl Telep, chairman of the Board of Directors of Transcarpathian universities Petro Gavrilko. 

Welcoming the participants, Ivan Kachur said that student government allows to identify potential leaders, to develop their managerial skills and organizational work, to shape the future elite of the nation:

- The regional government supports the initiative of young Transcarpathians. Together with the student council, youth NGOs this year we have held a lot of fun activities that are the trademark of our region in Ukraine.

According to the Student council chairman Yulia Baraban, over two years the organization conducted a large number of training sessions, meetings, and various competitions. In the future the work will be as intense as it has been previously. In particular, they planned the foundation of a regional Debate Academy, the activities on the occasion of the Day of Student, roundtables to discuss the social problems of students, etc.

That day the election of a new Chairman of the Student Council was held. By voting the fourth year student of the Faculty of Law of Transcarpathian State University, Ivan Polyuzhyn was elected. The newly elected Chairman will be on this post for 2 years - reported the press center of RSA.
