The government will compensate the first payment for "affordable housing" to families with two public sector employees

The government intends to pay the down payment for a home mortgage if both family members work in the public sector. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this today at the meeting with leading educators of Ukraine - reports RBC-Ukraine.
"There is a problem that our public sector employees are not always able to make the first payment (for apartment), which is equal to 100-150 thousand hryvnias. We discussed this issue in the government ... Now we are considering the decision that the state can take over all or part of the down payment ... It will depend on the family's income," - said Azarov.
According to him, the state will pay the first installment for the apartment if both family members work in the public sector, and their combined income is low, but if "one member of the family is a teacher and another is rather provided person, in this case, of course, the state will not pay down payment for them."
