The 68th anniversary of the liberation of Ukraine was celebrated in Transcarpathia

On Friday, October 26, the events to commemorate the 68th anniversary of the liberation of Transcarpathia and Ukraine from Nazi invaders were held. This day the memory of fallen soldiers was honored by the head of the region Oleksandr Ledyda, his deputies Ivan Kachur and Mykhailo Popovich, Uzhgorod Mayor Victor Pogorelov, heads of law enforcement and military authorities of the region, representatives of veterans' and civic organizations, residents of the region.
The celebration of the Day of Ukraine's liberation from Nazi occupation began on the Ukrainian-Slovak border. Here, government officials, law enforcement officers and veterans laid flowers to the monument "From Ukraine to the liberators."  
That day celebrations on the occasion of Ukraine's liberation from Nazi occupation were held in all cities of the region - informed the press center of RSA.
