Starting from 2013 Ukrainians will not be able to enter Turkey, if there is no space in passport

Starting from January 1, 2013 Ukrainians will not be able to enter the territory of Turkey, if there is no space in their passport for placing a mark of the border crossing.

This was informed by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.

However, until December 31, 2012 it is still possible to enter Turkey with a passport with no place for border service marks. In this case, Border Service of Turkey prepares a special card, which stores the information about the crossing of the border.

As reported, in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on terms of mutual trips of citizens dd. December 22, 2011, starting from August 1, 2012 the citizens of Ukraine may enter the territory of Turkey without a visa if the duration of their stay does not exceed 30 days.
