Mukachevo diocese together with Hungary builds a temple

October 19, in Nyzhni Vorota community center the meeting of Archbishop Theodore of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod and Consul General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Jozsef Bochkayi took place.

The archbishop and the diplomat, as the diocese site informed, intend to build within the center a temple in honor of the saints, equally respected both by the Orthodox Church and Hungary: St. Moses Uhryn and St. King Stephen.

The construction of the temple, initiated by the Consul General of Hungary and the clergy of the diocese, began in the spring. The participants expressed the hope that by the end of the year it would be completed and become a place of pilgrimage for believers, both in Ukraine and in Hungary.
