On 15 October, the Chairman of the Presidium of the Transcarpathian Regional Council of UHFA Oleksandr Vays and heads of regional organizations attended the regional council. They were received by the head of the council executive staff Mykhailo Popovich on behalf of the council chairman Ivan Baloha.
At the meeting they discussed the fact that in August of this year the order of the head of the RSA to provide hunting grounds for use by hunting NGOs and hunting economy expired.
The hunting grounds are provided in the use by the regional council with the relevant decision. The desicion shall be adopted by the council session subject to the submission and approval of materials of Regional Forestry and Hunting Directorate, the State Administration of Environmental Protection in the Transcarpathian region, the regional state administration.
According to the present heads of local hunting organizations, they filed materials for approval to the regional court back in March and May this year, but summer-autumn hunting season in Transcarpathia still has not opened.
As Mykhailo Popovich informed, last Thursday the regional council received the materials to the draft decision on granting hunting grounds. Currently the executive staff of the council completes their processing and they will soon be submitted to the session of the regional council.
On the instructions of the Chairman of the Regional Council next week there will be meeting of the standing committees, which representatives of all applicants for entry into hunting grounds, heads of departments and units of the state administration and council will be invited to to reconcile disputes.
On behalf of Ivan Baloha Mykhailo Popovich assured representatives of the hunting societies that the United Center faction will support prepared draft decisions – informed the press service of the regional council.
