In Uzhgorod the conference on the establishment of cross-border industrial park “Bereg-Karpaty” was held

The final conference "Development of documents for the establishment of cross-border industrial park with elements of logistics "Bereg-Karpaty" involving partners and honorable guests was held today, October 8, in Uzhgorod. 

Among the foreign guests were Andras Seles – Director of Agency for Development of the city of Záhony and the surrounding areas, Kezi Baila – Director of consulting company "Megacom", Dolashi Jozsef – Professor of Debrecen University and others. 

In his speech to participants of the final conference the manager of the regional council executive staff Mykhailo Popovich on behalf of the head of the council Ivan Baloha and all members of the council thanked everyone who worked on the project since its creation to the present day. Behind is a serious work done, the project documentation prepared. Transcarpathia again can become a pioneer in the important area of ​​cross-border cooperation, this time in creation of a unique institution – the agricultural market on the common border. This project has no analogues neither in Ukraine nor in the CIS. Legislation of Ukraine allows to move in that direction. 

The continuation of this project is primarily the deepening of cooperation between two self-governing communities of neighboring countries, expanding business contacts between local small and medium farmers, creating new jobs, attracting strong investment, increasing revenues, and thus supporting the welfare of the region and its population. Moreover, Hungary has accumulated experience: its territory has a number of industrial parks, especially in the cities of Zahony, Feyneshlitke, Miskolc and Nyíregyháza (in total there are about 200 industrial parks in Hungary).     

 The parties presented the possibilities of cross-border industrial park, emphasized the prospects of the project, linking it with advantageous geographical position of the region, rich natural resources and its human potential, and also discussed next steps and signed a joint protocol of intentions – informed the press service of the regional council.
