Half of the schools in Transcarpathia are not equipped with in-door restrooms

As of September 5, 2012 only 340 of the 674 secondary schools in Transcarpathia (which is 50.1%) were equipped with in-door restrooms. This was reported in response to a request for information by the Education and Science Directorate of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, informed Zakarpattya online.

According to the directorate, by the end of this year another 64 secondary schools are going to be equipped, in 2013 - 236, in 2014 - 34 institutions will also be equipped. 

Recall, that Education Minister Dmytro Tabachnik named Transcarpathia among the three regions where situation of equipping schools with warm restrooms is the hardest.

Recently, deputy of Ukraine, candidate for parliament in the 72nd constituency Vasyl Petyovka sent the deputy appeal to heads of Rakhiv and Tyachiv district administrations - Dmytro Andriyuk and Mykhailo Shelever - about equipping the schools with warm in-door restrooms.
