During two days, pyrotechnics of MOE disposed of 1530 explosive objects

During October 8-9 specialists of pyrotechnic group of Emergency and Rescue unit of the Regional Office of MOE in Transcarpathian region had to dispose of a whole arsenal of ammunition of World War II period.

 Residents of the village of Vilkhivka in Tyachiv district and the city of Rakhiv found 82 mm mortar shells. And more than a thousand explosive objects were found in the tract Menchelyk, in the village of Yasinya in Rakhiv district. The munition was found and reported by archaeologists of one of the NGOs that conducted excavations in the area. Overall, 8 F1 grenades, 7 hand grenades, 10 50 mm mortar shells, 2 Kaveshnikov sunks, antipersonnel mine, and 1500 cartridges were found at the site.

 All explosives were seized and destroyed - informed the Regional Office of MOE in Transcarpathian region.
