Chop border guards detained seven illegal migrants

Last day officers of the Chop border guard detachment stopped several attempts of illegal border crossing.
In the first case in the area of ​​border guard service department "Novoselytsia" border guards detected signs of movement of people towards the border and immediately reported to the unit. In ten minutes operational group with a detection dog searched the border stretch and detained a group of men of Caucasian appearance without documents. Six detainees called themselves Georgian citizens and explained that they intended to enter the EU illegally.
In the second case border guards of "Uzhgorod" department arrested another offender in 250 meters from the state border. "The lone wanderer" was a man who was also unable to document his identity, but called himself a citizen of the Russian Federation.
All detained offenders were delivered to units to clarify the circumstances of the offense and make administrative and procedural documents. Decision on their prosecution and further fate will be determined by the court - informed the press service of the Chop border guard detachment.
