This year the Chop Customs laboratory received 735 requests for assessments
Almost every day Chop customs officers detect violations at the border, when the citizens resort to various ways of evading payment of customs duties. After drawing up protocols on administrative violations, the commodity expertises are held to determine the quality and quantity of goods, resulting in a significant impact on the final cost of violation items. The experts from the customs laboratory are involved for this.
According to the Chief of Uzhgorod service for customs authorities expert support of the Central Customs Administration of Laboratory Studies and Expert Work Hanna Turyanytsya, during 10 months in 2012 the Chop Customs sent 735 requests for evaluations and research.
