The court ordered Beregovo SES to pay five thousand hryvnias penalty to the State Budget

Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine affirmed the penalty in the amount of 5 thousand hryvnias imposed by the Transcarpathian regional office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine on "Beregovo district sanitary-epidemiological station" for abuse of dominance.

In February 2012 the territorial department fined "Beregovo DSES" for abuse of dominant position by levying unreasonable fees for laboratory study of safety and quality of drinking water from wells and springs (non-centralized drinking water supply) which are included in the list of paid works and services in the sphere of state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance within the city of Beregovo and Beregovo district.

Beregovo DSES appealed to the Economic Court of Transcarpathian region to invalidate the decision of the territorial department.

October 9 this year, the Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine rejected the claim of "Beregovo DSES", overturned Lviv Appellate Economic Court decision and the Economic Court of Transcarpathian region decision, which invalidated the decision of the territorial office, and upheld the counterclaim of territorial office on the recovery of the fine imposed by the decision from Beregovo DSES – informed the press service of the Transcarpathian regional territorial office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
