Starting from the next year Transcarpathians will be paying real estate tax
On January 1, 2013 in Ukraine the tax on real estate other than land will be introduced. Head of the State Tax Inspectorate in Uzhgorod Maria Badyda commented on the innovation.
Thus, individuals, who are the owners of such real estate, from the beginning of the new year will be paying a new kind of tax.
The tax rate for apartment with living space up to 240 sq. m. and houses up to 500 sq. m. is 1% of the minimum wage as of the beginning of year per 1 sq.m. Flats and houses with more space will be taxed at 2.7% of the minimum wage.
Apartments in area of 120 sq. m., houses in area of 250 sq. m. and garden cottages will not be subject to taxation. The provisions of the Tax Code of Ukraine also exempt from taxation real estate owned by families with many children and foster families, where three or more children are raised.
