In Transcarpathia scammers trick pensioners out of their money

Yesterday, a 63-year-old resident of the village of Petrivka appealed to Uzhgorod law enforcement officers. She said that on Wednesday an unknown person had called on her cell phone, introduced herself as an employee of the pension fund and asked to transfer UAH 13,800 to a specified bank account. For some strange reason she transfered the tidy sum from her credit cards to the scammer’s account. Then the pensioner appealed to the police.
