In Transcarpathia a number of sanitation centers have been fined for abuse of dominance

Transcarpathian regional territorial office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine fined Vynogradiv, Irshava, Mizhhirya, Svalyava, Khust, Rakhiv District and Mukachevo City Sanitary and Epidemiological Stations of Transcarpathia in total of 28 thousand hryvnias for abuse of dominance.
As it was found out during the investigation, sanitary stations applied inflated cost of services for the laboratory studies of water turbidity and color index.
In addition, Vynogradiv SES established fees for organizational, technical and informational support of keeping public registries of the state sanitary and epidemiopogical examination, which violates the law.
Also, Mukachevo SES applied different rates (price lists) when performing equivalent works and services. Mizhhirya SES set overvalued services for issuance of the reports of expertise for construction (reconstruction) projects. Khust SES levied fees for studies of drinking water for microbiological and physico-chemical parameters, which are not provided for by the law.
The defendants admitted the violations, ceased the infringement, and pledged to pay fines to the state budget – informed the press service of the Transcarpathian regional territorial office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
